About Pathfinders Empowerment Hub

Empowering South African youth to become leaders, innovators, and changemakers who uplift their communities.

Our Story

Pathfinders Empowerment Hub was founded with a clear vision: to bridge the gap between potential and success for South African youth. We recognized that many talented young people across our nation lack the guidance, skills, and opportunities needed to fully realize their capabilities.

Our initiative specifically targets Grade 11-12 learners and first-year university students, equipping them with the tools, skills, and networks they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. By focusing on this critical transition period, we aim to intervene at a pivotal moment where proper guidance can significantly impact life trajectories.

Started by passionate educators and community leaders in KwaZulu-Natal, Pathfinders has grown from a small mentorship program in Durban to an expanding youth development initiative with ambitious plans to reach across the province and beyond.

Our Mission

To empower South African youth with practical skills, values-based leadership, and entrepreneurial mindsets that prepare them for success in education, career, and community service.

Our Vision

To create a generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers who transform their communities and contribute to a prosperous South Africa.

Our Strategic Pillars

Entrepreneurship & Innovation

We foster entrepreneurial thinking, provide practical business skills, and nurture innovative solutions to community challenges. Through workshops, mentorship, and hands-on projects, participants learn to identify opportunities and develop sustainable ventures.

Personal Development & Leadership

We cultivate values-driven leadership, emotional intelligence, and effective communication skills. Our programs emphasize character development, ethical decision-making, and the ability to inspire and mobilize others toward positive change.

Academic Excellence & Career Readiness

We support educational achievement through tutoring, study skills development, and career guidance. Participants receive assistance with university applications, interview preparation, and building professional networks to ensure a successful transition to higher education and employment.

Our Approach

Pathfinders Empowerment Hub operates through a unique blend of school-based programs, community workshops, and mentorship initiatives. We believe in learning by doing, and our approach emphasizes:

  • Practical Skill Development: Moving beyond theory to hands-on application of concepts
